152 East 87th Street, on the Upper East Side, is home to The Alyn, "a [luxurious 19-story residential high-rise] that sets a new standard for exclusivity and privacy." Completed this year, the Alyn was designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Gordon Property Group. Together we were able to design, manufacture, and install a glamorous elevator interior.

“The use of Antique Mirror, Architectural Mesh, and White Marble adds character to the elevator's personality and dictates the overall design's modernity.”

The elevator was designed using an Architectural Systems Oakwood panel system that encases the upper and lower panels. The upper back wall features a gorgeous Antique Mirror by Pulp Studio, complemented by horizontal panels faced with "Stipple 19A" by Cambridge below. The rest of the elevator cab features Oakwood upper panels and "Stipple 19A" lower panels by Cambridge Architectural Metals. The drop ceiling utilizes perimeter strip lighting and is faced with Stainless Steel Satin finish - as are the fronts and transom of the elevator cab. The base and floor are faced with stunning white marble. The Oakwood throughout the elevator can also be found in the lobby of The Alyn, continuing the natural and neutral color palette used in the building. In addition, the use of Antique Mirror, Architectural Mesh, and White Marble adds character to the elevator's personality and dictates the overall design's modernity. This melody of materials was essential in keeping the cohesiveness between the building and the elevator.
