Tower 45 is a 40-story commercial building located in midtown Manhattan. Constructed in 1989, this modern "class A" building is made of brick and limestone and features a unique 15-story open-air atrium. Century Elevator and ourselves were part of an eight-car modernization that provided the building with a luxurious elevator interior and modern mechanical upgrade. Let's take a closer look at Tower 45's elevator interiors!

“From exotic African Cedar wood veneers, and durable Taj Mahal Quartzite, to energy-efficient LED lighting systems, every detail was carefully designed with passengers in mind.”

All eight elevators feature custom-stained African Cedar wood veneer, Taj Mahal quartzite stone supplied by Formigari, and stainless steel reveals and finishes. The wood veneer provides warmth to the space, while the quartzite stone adds sophistication and durability to the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the stainless steel finishes create a modern feel that helps tie all elements together. They offer an attractive aesthetic for current and future tenants that will also stand up to heavy use over time, making them ideal for high-traffic buildings like Tower 45. In addition to their impressive style, these elevators are equipped with state-of-the-art technology thanks to Century Elevator. This includes destination dispatch systems that allow tenants to select their floor number before entering the elevator cab, reducing wait times and crowding in peak periods. In addition, the elevators are equipped with audio/visual communication systems that make it easier for passengers to identify where they need to go without asking others in the cab or fumbling with buttons on the panel. Finally, the elevators also feature energy-efficient LED lighting systems by Acolyte that help reduce energy consumption while providing comfortable illumination throughout each ride.

Tower 45's modernized elevators combine style and innovation for a luxurious elevator experience. From exotic African Cedar wood veneers, and durable Taj Mahal Quartzite, to energy-efficient LED lighting systems, every detail was carefully designed with passengers in mind. Building owners, architects, and interior designers can take inspiration from Tower 45. Investing in stylish yet durable materials will ensure your elevators last through years of wear and tear while providing your tenants with a memorable riding experience every time!
