A Commercial High-Rise in Manhattan “Transformed Into an Innovative Co-working Concept.”

331 Park Avenue South, a commercial high-rise in Manhattan, has been "transformed into an innovative coworking, social and community concept, operated by The Assemblage." After being purchased in 2017, the pre-war structure was handed over to the renowned interior designer, Meyer Davis, to take the lead in the building's new design. As a result of this renovation, we were tasked with modernizing the buildings existing two elevators.

The elevator cabs are designed with upper and lower panels. The upper panels are composed of bronze powder-coated perforated steel over a black plastic laminate. The lower panels and chair rail are faced with oakwood laminate. The rear wall features a safety laminated safety mirror with rounded corners. The ceiling, handrails, frieze, reveals, bases, fronts, and doors are all faced with bronze. All panels are wrapped with bronze binders and held in place with aluminum z-clips. The finished design is modern and minimalistic - with its clean lines, neutral tones, and subtle textures.
